Selecting the perfect piece of land for your dream home may be a complicated task but is the necessary first step when building ‘offsite’. There is a lot of due diligence and research involved. It's critical to assess whether or not a home site is 'buildable' and can accommodate your home before making a purchase.
Once you have acquired your land, you’ll meet with the Director of Sales to discuss build parameters, site characteristics and placement of the home. This meeting will also help us get to know each other better so that we can effectively build the perfect home for you, and you understand our construction process.
We’ll discuss your ‘must-haves’ and budget to find the perfect floor plan from our Neighborhood Homes collection or begin the process of designing a custom plan. If you're thinking about financing your home and haven't spoken to a lender yet, now is the time. We'd be delighted to introduce you to reputable professionals if you need recommendations. Different types of homes require different types of financing; we'll explain the distinctions and answer any questions you might have.
The time has come to finalize your home's layout. We want to make sure you understand all details regarding the included features as well as the available investments. Once it has been determined that no further plan changes are required, you'll sign a contract, and our in-house Architectural Designer will draft your drawings.
The time for your pre-construction meeting has arrived. This is where you'll meet our Interior Designer and the Project Manager who will be working on your home. They willaddress any remaining questions and inform you of what to expect throughout the construction process. You'll review your floor plans as a group, and onceyou've agreed on them, we'll deliver them to the town for building permit approval.
You'll begin your selection process with the Interior Designer while we wait for the town's approval. It's vital to bear in mind that selections should be made as soon as possible to keep the construction process moving along smoothly and avoid delays. Construction will commence as soon as we receive approval. Throughout the construction process, you will have planned meetings with both the Interior Designer and Project Manager.
Once building has concluded, you'll tour your new home with your Salesperson, Interior Designer, and Project Manager to learn all about it. You will close on your home once all contingencies have been satisfied.
